Biographie of Terri Irwin

Terri – Terri Raines was born in Eugene, Oregon in the USA in 1964. Since she was a small child she often brought home injured animals, always trying to save and rehabilitate wild animals. In 1986 she started a rehab facility called "Cougar Country" to re-educate and release predatory mammals such as fox, possum, raccoon, bears, bob-cats, and of course cougars back into the wild. Soon she was handling 300 animals a year.

Terri was pretty busy, as she joined an Emergency Veterinary Hospital, working as a vet technician to get a better knowledge on the support and care of animals. Besides she helped her dad run the family business and cared for her own animals. 15 cats, several birds and a dog.


She met Steve on her vacation to Australia, visiting the Australia Zoo and in June 1992 Terri married Steve Irwin. They honeymooned on their first tv documentary. She left everything behind in the USA to share her life with Steve, always standing by, accompanying him on his adventures. Terri Irwin is the perfect partner in this incredible daring duo of the New Millennium.

Nowadays Steve and Terri have a young Crocodile Hunter named Bindi Sue, always helping her parents run the parks business.
